Happy Almost April friends! The flowers are blooming, the days are getting longer, and the pandemic looks like it's finally slowing down! What's the one thing you are looking forward to doing when Covid is over? Mine is taking my daughter back to Disneyland - it's been our family's happy place for the last 5 years, and boy do we miss it!
Today's blog post is all about how and why you should incorporate props sentimental to your child during your photo shoot. I did a recent blog post on props in general, and those I have available for your session, however I always encourage families to bring some of their own that have meaning! This can be for children of any age, from a young child's favorite stuffy, to a book your child loves to read, to sport they love, to something they made, even a family pet (ok, I know that's not truly a prop, but they certainly have meaning to your family, and I love to incorporate them into your photos)! Here are the top 3 reasons I love personal props!
1. They mark a specific love that your child has at a specific point in time. Kids grow up way too fast, and honestly it's SO hard to remember all the things they loved. Capturing these loves on camera will make you smile for years to come as you look back on your child's growth.
