Orange County Child Photographer - Spring Session Outfit Ideas!

Hi Friends! Happy Sunday. I hope you are all staying home and safe during this crazy time. Since we can't really go into stores, I thought it would be fun to do some virtual shopping with some fun outfit ideas for when sessions can resume again. I've put together three color pallets below. As an Orange County Family Photographer, I LOVE to help my clients with outfit ideas and this is included with all my sessions. Whether you like to shop your own closet, or give me a budget and find you a new outfit for your session, I'm here to help!
Spring is all about colors, from soft pastels to bright pops! The colors shown below are so flattering to all skin types and will look beautiful no matter what the location is that you choose for your session!
Blues and neutrals: This is a color combo I love for families with dads not comfortable with a lot of color. Mom gets a pop of pale, soft blue to complement all the flowers and colors of spring! I've included three different ideas for mom, depending on how dressy you like to be - a casual, pant based outfit, a flowy skirt outfit, and a cute spring dress. All three will complement the rest of your family!
Pretty Pastels: One of my favorites for spring, pastels are soft, beautiful and flattering! The key is sticking to fabrics that flow, rather than cling to your body. This gives a lightness and movement of the fabrics in your images. Again, a few different ideas for mom, depending on how dressy she likes to be! We are still giving dad soft, neutral colors to complement the pretty pastels on mom and kids.
Pop of Color: For those families who like to go bold! Spring is the perfect time to showcase lots of color, as nature is showcasing hers! The trick to this look is to not let everyone be super bright - bringing in lighter shades of bright colors or neutrals will allow the clothes to pop without being overwhelming. Again, mom has a few different outfits to pick from depending on what colors she loves!
