Happy Thursday Friends and so happy to see the sun shining again! Today's blog post is all about #existinphotos - which is basically for moms to get in front of the camera instead of behind the camera :-). All moms (including yours truly), whether a professional photograher or just a mom who loves taking photos of her kids (and what mom doesn't) always tend to be the unofficial photographers of their families. They spend time behind the camera or phone, documenting all aspects of their family's lives - the joy, hearbreak, snuggles, trimuphs, sadness, elation, and everythign in between. But that means they don't ever step in front of the camera to be documented. Aside from the random selfies your kiddos ask you for, or the crazy up the nose shots your toddler takes of you while using your phone, moms don't exist in a whole lot of photos. And that's sad, beacuse moms are so much of what drives and holds a family, and they should be celebrated! So today's post is an ask to all moms - please, step in front of the camera! It seems like we always have an excuse (including myself lol) - I didn't do my makeup, my hair is a mess, I want to lose five pounds - but I can promise you that to your kiddos, that doesn't matter. Only you being in the photos does. Whether you book a professional photography session, or just have your partner snap a few candid images of you and your kiddos, please do it! This is so important - not just for you to look back on when your kids are older and grown (beucase let's face it - we can never have too many photos of our kids to look back on) but when that sad day comes that your kids no longer have you, they'll be the best thing they have to remember you by. Even your everyday look should be celebrated - it's what your kiddos see all the time and love, no matter how you look :-).
So here is my ode to moms everywhere - please, #existinphotos - for you, for your kids, your grandkids, and even their kids. Please enjoy all the moments moms are there for - the laughter, the snuggles, the joy, the tears. Moms rock :-).
